Hon’ble Mayor Of Corporation R. Mahesh inspected the Anna Bus Stand in Nagercoil.

Speaking to reporters about the inspection, the mayor said…

Action will be taken to remove the encroachment of nearly 80 per cent of the footpath in front of the shops allotted at the bus stand…

Action will be taken against the paid toilet contractor if the paid toilet is not cleaned.

All damaged seats will be removed immediately.

The Honble Chief Minister has allocated Rs.9 crores for the upgradation of Anna Bus Stand, Christopher Bus Stand and Omni Bus Stand.

Accordingly, the development work will be taken up soon…

The mayor said strict action would be taken against shops selling snacks and food items in a health-poor manner.

Commissioner Mrs. Asha Ajith IAS, Deputy Mayor Mary Princi Latha, Councillors Rosida, Jawahar, Subramaniam and others were present during the inspection.
