Hon’ble Mayor of Nagercoil Corporation, Along with the owners of sewage vehicles, has been asked to regulate traffic in the areas under Nagercoil Corporation.

The Hon’ble Mayor of Nagercoil Corporation, Along with the owners of the sewerage vehicles, has been asked to take up the matter with the Hon’ble Mayor of Nagercoil Corporation. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mahesh.

In the meeting, it was instructed to stop 30 sewage vehicles plying in Nagercoil Corporation areas in the outskirts of the city without disturbing the public and traffic.

Action will be taken immediately by the police if sewage vehicles are parked in corporation areas obstructing traffic.

The mayor has also warned that strict action will be taken against those dumping waste in the corporation areas till then as the ongoing treatment plant work in Valampurivalai area is yet to be completed in three months’ time.

The mayor said the public can send complaints to the corporation’s WhatsApp number (94870 38984).

Mr. Balasubramania, Engineer of the Corporation, Dr. Vijayachandran, Welfare Officer of the Corporation and Mr. Nagercoil Traffic Inspector were present at the meeting. Arun and health inspectors attended.
